Products
Zinc chloride
Zinc chloride
Applications:
One of the main applications of zinc chloride is to act as an electrolyte in dry batteries (zinc-carbon). Zinc chloride has the ability to attack the metal oxides, this property allowing its use as flux in the weld metal, dissolving the oxide layers, and leaving the metal surface clean. Zinc chloride is used in various fields such as water treatment, as a fireproofing agent in textile processing and in the manufacture of bactericides, fungicides and stabilizers for plastics. This product can be manufactured in liquid form at any concentration up to 65% in solid form as a dry powder. The anhydrous material is packed in polyethylene valve bags of 25 or 50 Kgs, in big bags of 1.000 Kgs and in metal drums of 250 Kgs. The liquid material can be delivered in tankers or IBC'S of 1.000 lts. All the packaging we use is UN approved.

Zinc Ammonium Chloride Salts
Applications:
Fluxing solutions are mainly used in hot-dip galvanizing for pre-treatment of steel surfaces. This double salt solution is stored at an approximate concentration of 500 g / l and a temperature around 60 degrees C into which the pieces are dipped after pickling and washing and are then inserted into the molten zinc bath. The main function of flux is to prevent oxidation of the metal before it contacts the zinc bath. The solutions are also widely used for pre-treatment of metals before welding, and in the tin immersion process.

Applications:
This chemical product has wide industrial applications, and is used in the pickling of steel, in the manufacture of various foods, as well as in many industrial processes for the production of organic and inorganic chemicals. For the production of zinc chloride and zinc ammonium chloride, S.A. Lipmes uses significant amounts of zinc waste, specially zinc ashes from the galvanizing industry, and large amounts of hydrochloric acid. S.A. Lipmes offers the hydrochloric acid to all customers of the galvanizing industry, in particular, as a complementary service facilitating our collection of their zinc-rich stripping solutions.

The Commitment to Progress is a worldwide initiative taken up by the chemical industry to continuously improve its performance regarding Health, Safety and the Environment.
The health and safety of its employees and of society as a whole are S.A. Lipmes' major concern. We are sincerely committed to making progress and growth compatible with environmental conservation. We make every effort, both in human and economic terms, to improve in these areas, and to comply with the requirements of the ISO 14001 and EMAS III environmental and quality systems.
The Company recycles all waste containing zinc, re-using it as raw material in its production process, thus reducing the total amount of waste requiring disposal.
Electrical power generation
S.A. Lipmes is firmly committed to the environment and this has led us to invest in solar energy.
This renewable energy is obtained directly through the sun's rays flooding of our photovoltaic cell solar park.
The photovoltaic modules or panels are made of glass or transparent top sheet and bottom enclosure that is encapsulated between the substrate converter and its electrical connections.
Continuous electrical power provided by photovoltaic modules can be transformed into alternating current by an electronic inverter and then injected into the mains.
S.A. Lipmes has two photovoltaic solar plants with an installed capacity of 2.314,5 kWp, with an annual production of 3.987.300 kwh, which allows a reduction of air emissions of more than 1560 Mt of CO2 per year.
